Roland only sold the RDE-1800 in Japan, which is the main reason so few of these ever left the country. It pairs a digital delay with a real spring reverb tank, the same spring unit Roland used inside the RE-201 Space Echo, just built into a delay rack instead of a tape echo. The controls are in Japanese, because Japan was the only market this was ever sold to.
