The TEAC Model 3 is the compact analog console from Tascam's golden era, back when home studios were beige, knobs were plentiful, and everything sounded a little warmer than it had any right to. Eight inputs, four subgroups, a submixer and a semi-parametric EQ, all wrapped in that unmistakable early-80s Tascam livery. Producers chase these down today not for clean transparency but for the opposite: run a mix through it and the Model 3 hands back glue, weight and a gentle analog saturation that plug-ins keep trying to fake. A summing box, a tracking desk, a character machine. Small, heavy and quietly brilliant.
