The Jupiter-Xm is Roland's love letter to its own history, shrunk into a portable, battery-powered box with built-in speakers. Its ZEN-Core engine runs authentic Model Bank recreations of the Jupiter-8, Juno-106, JX-8P and SH-101, plus XV-5080 digital sounds, RD pianos, a vocoder, and a full arsenal of classic Roland drum machines (808, 909, 707, 727, 606, CR-78). Five-part multitimbral, four oscillators per tone, a clever I-Arpeggiator, deep effects and a tank-like brushed-metal build with the signature orange Jupiter stripes. Plug in, or grab it and walk; this is a whole vintage Roland studio you can carry under one arm.
FEATURES & PROS:
GENRE / USE
A portable all-in-one for electronic, pop and live production. With authentic Jupiter-8, Juno-106, JX-8P and SH-101 models plus the full TR drum-machine arsenal on board, it covers classic Roland pads, basses and beats in one box, equally suited to sketching ideas on battery power or anchoring a studio rig.
THE WORD: MusicRadar calls the Jupiter-Xm a lovable machine, essentially a best-of Roland analogue emulation and PCM module with a keyboard, with power that is quite something. Read more at MusicRadar.
