Do not let the 25 keys fool you. The Subsequent 25 packs the full-fat Moog ladder filter, three oscillators and a re-tuned multidrive circuit into Moog's most compact keyboard synth, hand-built in Asheville with proper wood cheeks. Stack all three oscillators in Unison for ground-shaking mono bass, or flip to Duo paraphonic mode to play two notes at once. It is the spiritual successor to the much-loved Sub Phatty, with more headroom, a silkier keybed and a high-power headphone amp. Behemoth basses, snarling leads, and that unmistakable Moog grit, in a box you can fit anywhere.

FEATURES & PROS:

  • Real Moog Ladder Filter: The classic 4-pole filter with reshaped gain staging for more headroom and snarl.
  • Three Oscillators: Stack in Unison for enormous bass, or split in Duo mode for two-note paraphony.
  • Multidrive Circuit: Sweeps from subtle warmth to screaming overdrive.
  • Hand-Built in Asheville: Moog's own US factory, with solid wood side panels.
  • Knob-Per-Function: Immediate, hands-on control with no menu-diving.
  • High-Power Headphone Amp: Proper monitoring for stage and studio.
  • Editor/Librarian: Save and recall unlimited patches via the free software.
  • Compact and Tough: Moog's smallest keyboard synth, built like a tank.

GENRE / USE

A modern Moog mono built for bass and leads. It is a staple for electronic, synthwave, techno and hip-hop producers chasing ground-shaking unison sub-bass, plus snarling lead and acid-style lines, and it doubles as a hands-on filter and drive box for processing external sound. Equally at home on stage or bolted into a studio rig.

THE WORD: Reverb describes the Subsequent 25 as a 2-note paraphonic analog synth delivering the rich sonic density Moog is known for, with ground-shaking unison bass. Read more at Reverb.
